Welcome to the #coolestbarRhino located in downtown Prior Lake!
Our wine menu changes monthly, so there is always something new to try when you come in. Our wines are sold by the glass, bottle, or build-your-own flight. We always offer complimentary tastings so you can try the wine(s) before you commit to anything. Not a wine drinker? We do offer a few select beer options too!
Our seating is so comfortable that you can lose track of time when lounging at any of our wide variety of options. We love that our furniture is modular so we can easily accommodate different group sizes.
You will always have delicious wine options when you visit us, but what is the most important to us is that you have an outstanding night out. We know date nights, ladies' nights, celebrations, etc. do not happen often enough – so #staywild with us and we will take care of you.
ABOUT THE OWNERS
Brett married into this amazing town while Sara was born and raised in Prior Lake. They now live in Savage with their twin daughters, Elizabeth & Olivia. Brett & Sara envisioned Rhino Wine Bar to be a place that they would want to go to on a rare night out. As busy parents with full-time careers, they wanted to build the #coolestbarRhino as an extension of their home – somewhere they would feel comfortable going with a group of friends, on a date night, dressed up, dressed down, for a glass, or for the night.
This endeavor was intimidating but with the support of their family and friends, they took the leap. Not able to walk away from their careers, they needed someone to run the bar and Brett’s aunt, Jane, was the perfect option. Not only does she have years of management experience, but she is famous for throwing unforgettable dinner parties, making her the ideal person to make sure you have an amazing time. Jane left sunny Florida to move home to Minnesota, and the rest, as they say, is history!
WHY A RHINO?
We knew we wanted a name that was easy to remember – that stood out among the crowd. We struggled for months because you only have one chance to get the name right... On Valentine’s Day, Sara and a friend exchanged pictures of adorable valentine cards their kids had gotten in school. One said “I am wild about you; you are the coolest person Rhino”. And just like that, the name was born!
Fun fact: did you know that Rhinos are not typically social, BUT they do come together at the local watering hole at night?
